Father is accused of kicking a toddler

Police arrest a father after his wife accuses him of child abuse.

Collinsville police say 35-year-old Kevin Wayne Silcox was taken into custody Tuesday evening at his home.

Officers were sent to the scene on a domestic call.  Police say when they arrived, the wife was outside and yelling at her husband who was still inside the home.

Silcox admitted to police the pair had been drinking and eventually they started to fight.

Police say they checked the suspect for injuries, but found none.

The wife told police Silcox walked by her and kicked her in the face.  Officers say she did have bruises and red marks consistent with her story.

Police say the wife said he did the same thing to her little boy.  The toddler fell off the bed from the force of the kick and hit another piece of furniture.  Officers found a red mark underneath the boy's eye.

Silcox was arrested on counts of child abuse, domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor and interfering with a 911 call.

He was taken to the Tulsa County Jail.
