Facebook selfie in stolen dress leads to woman's arrest

After taking a five finger discount on the multi-colored dress, Danielle Saxton just couldn’t help posting a selfie of herself on Facebook while wearing it.

Bad idea.

"What she stole was a very distinct leopard dress," store co-owner Kert Williams told WISL-TV.

Williams didn’t see the pictures, but he posted surveillance video of the theft. That led others on Facebook to point out the woman, leading to her capture.

Franklin County Police Chief Shawn Talluto told the station, “by looking at the background of the photograph we were able to pinpoint where she was.”

Saxton still had other items stolen from the shop when she was taken into custody.

Williams said the Woman told police she took the stuff because “there was nobody in here."
