Elderly man caught in stolen car, states it's "a test drive"

A Tulsa officer is on patrol Wednesday afternoon, when a car goes speeding by.

Police say the officer then initiated a traffic stop near 129th and Hwy 51.

While conducting a record's check on 76-year-old Harold Robertson, the officer found out the vehicle he was driving had been reported as stolen.

Robertson told officers it was "a test drive."

It turned out he was right.

Police say Robertson just never took the car back.

He was then taken to the Tulsa County Jail, where he faces a count of possessing a stolen vehicle.
