A high-rate of speed may have played a role in the death of a man early Saturday morning.
Tulsa police say a motorcycle collided with a pick-up near 49th and Memorial. The incident happened around 2:35 a.m.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital. His name hasn't been released.
A witness at the scene told officers the driver of the motorcycle was doing tricks and was driving fast. Police say the pickup went to make a turn and didn't see the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist then slammed into the side of the pickup.
Police say alcohol didn't seem to be a factor in the wreck.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. The female driver of the pickup, her husband and their child were all wearing seatbelts.
