Drunken mother gets into accident with biological son

A woman is found slumped over the wheel after hitting a stop sign Saturday afternoon near 31st and Yale.

Tulsa police say they received the call around 4 p.m.

Paula Hamilton was obviously drunk when officers found her. There was empty bear cans and a half empty bottle of vodka inside her car. Plus, she was slurring her speech and had no balance.

Her 12-year-old biological son was also in the car, but wasn't seriously injured.  He was turned over to his adoptive parents.

Hamilton didn't suffer any serious injuries and was taken to the Tulsa County Jail.

In addition to being found drunk in her car, Hamilton faces a count of child endangerment for having her child in the vehicle.
