Drugs, weapons bust made near Pittsburg Avenue, Broken Arrow Expressway

A search warrant that was served at a house near South Pittsburg Avenue and the Broken Arrow Expressway Wednesday turned up numerous weapons, drugs and explosives.

A neighbor on the scene was in shock.

"Heaven forbid. I don't even know what I think. I certainly didn't think this neighborhood would ever come to this," she said.

We're told that the Tulsa County Sheriff's Violent Crimes Task Force along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms investigators found more than twenty guns along with drugs and explosives inside of a house near 4000 East 27th Street.

A robotic device was used to get the explosives contraband out of the house.

A man and a woman who were inside of the residence were arrested at the scene.

We're told that the male had recently served time for a drug conviction.

Neighbors said that they had seen numerous vehicles driving through the area during the nighttime hours, raising the suspicion that there was drug sales activity in the area.
