Divorce lawyers can use Facebook to make you look bad

We all know it's important to avoid posting embarrassing or compromising photos on our Facebook profiles.

But KRMG's Consumer Warrior Clark Howard says that's especially true for people who are going through a divorce.

"The number-one tool of divorce lawyers right now is looking at your social media," Clark says.

He says that includes everything from Facebook to Twitter to text messages.

And he says even if you delete the information, divorce lawyers can often retrieve it.

So he says, keep those profiles clean and harmless.

"Don't ever say anything or do anything you wouldn't want grandma to see," Clark advises.
