Deputies identify man found floating in the river

Tulsa County Sheriff's Deputies have identified the man found floating in the Arkansas River near Sand Springs earlier this week.

The Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as 43-year-old Timothy Don Erwin.

KRMG has learned that the cause of death has not yet been ruled a drowning and is still under investigation while the ME awaits toxicology reports.

Deputies say the body did not have any obvious signs of trauma that would lead investigators to believe there was foul play.

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is still asking anyone that might have had contact with the victim prior to his death to contact the case investigator at (918) 596-8661.
