TULSA, Okla. - Demolition continues Thursday morning at the Manion Park community center.
Tulsa Parks officials say the community center west of 56th and Harvard has become too expensive to maintain or upgrade.
The community center will be replaced with an interactive water feature, commonly known as a splash pad.
The Turner Park community center was demolished last fall and was turned into a pavilion.
Seven other parks will meet a similar fate.
The B.C. Franklin recreation center plus recreation centers at Ben Hill Park, Clark Park, Heller Park, Maxwell Park, Springdale Park and Zeigler Park are also slated to be torn down.
