Daily lane closures on the Creek Turnpike

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority tells KRMG lanes will be closed from about the Yale Avenue interchange over to the Memorial Drive interchange.

Crews will be out each day installing new cable barriers in the median in this area. Drivers will find up to two lanes closed in each direction in the middle of the day.

The OTA says the lanes should be re-opened each afternoon to allow evening traffic to flow normally. The lanes won’t be closed until after morning traffic has cleared.

For now, two lanes will close near the Yale exit each day, leaving just the far right lane open.

The project is expected to take about four months.
