Cruise ship again forced to port by storms

Another round of bad luck for travelers on Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas, but at least it wasn't as bad as the last time.

One of the largest cruise ships currently sailing was forced to return to homeport again after another storm was predicted off the coast of Cape Hatteras, The Associated Press reported.

There was also a small outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness that doctors believe to be norovirus, USA Today reported.

The cruise ship company made the announcement on its Twitter feed.

Because of the change in schedule, and the voyage being cut by two days, stops in Barbados and St. Kitts are being canceled with the Anthem of the Seas returning to New Jersey on Wednesday.

Earlier this month, the ship was damaged when it hit 30-foot waves and hurricane-force winds near Cape Hatteras, the AP reported.

Four people, out of 4,529 passengers and 1,616 crewmembers, were injured during the storm, a Royal Caribbean spokeswoman told USA Today.
