Couple find 3 foot python under couch cushion

Sure, the snake was non-venomous but that didn't settle the nerves or provide the change of underwear one couple needed.

Peter Wang and his wife were cleaning a couch in their new apartment, expecting to find some loose change or an old French fry when they discovered the reptile.

The Long Island, New York couple left the big snake right where it was and called animal control. When they arrived, the python was removed without incident.

NBC 4 New York reports the SPCA believes the snake belonged to the tenant who had moved out and since there is no law against owning one, no charges will be filed.
