Corporation Commissioner Douglas seeks Lankford's House seat

Now that Congressman James Lankford is running for the Senate, his seat in the House will be open.

And Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Patrice Douglas announced she wants to fill it.

Douglas held a news conference at her alma mater, Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond.

She says one of her main concerns as a past business owner is the government debt and says she would have been out of business if she had run her business the same way as the government.

And she says as a mother of two sons, she wants to works to reinforce traditional family values from Washington.

Douglas's work background includes banking and serving as the Mayor of Edmond.

Former Oklahoma State Representative Shane Jett has also said he will run to replace Lankford.
