The score of 99 out of 100 goes to the Tesla Model S. The car actually scored a remarkable 110 but lost points for the problems that come with being a plug in model.
The Tesla is said to run incredibly quiet, have impressive power and pick-up and be filled with impressive attention to detail.
Consumer Reports director Jake Fisher told Jalopnik "It's what Marty McFly might have brought back in place of his DeLorean in Back to the Future."
The only other car to get such a high rating was the 2007 Lexus LS but Fisher said the Tesla is heads and tails above the Lexus.
