Coming winter cold snap, forecasting sleet, freezing rain, snow

A cold snap could start to affect eastern Oklahoma as early as tomorrow night.

The National Weather Service tells us significant icing is possible southeast of I-44 with snow and sleet to the north.

We're told the amount of frozen precipitation doesn't appear to be that heavy, but is likely to cause some hazardous driving conditions.

Freezing drizzle is possible on Friday afternoon with snow changing to freezing rain south of I-44.

We're told amounts look light for now, but it's going to stay cold into next week.
