The mythical TV anchorman likes to say he is “kind of a big deal.”
Now, he is.
Emerson College in Boston thinks so much of the anchorman/jazz flute player that they will re-name their school of communication after him.
The Ron Burgundy School of Communication will debut on December 4th and the man who plays Ron will be there.
Former Saturday Night Live star Will Ferrell will help open the new school and he’ll do it in character.
Ferrell, and Burgundy will speak to students, attend a news conference, take part in the renaming ceremonies and stay for a screening of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
Lee Pelton is the President of the college, he admits the big haired Burgundy "understands the power of media, as well as hairspray, firsthand."
