Senator Tom Coburn, along with two other Senators, has unveiled the Patient CARE Act.
Coburn, Richard Burr (R-N.C.) and Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) collaborated to come up with the legislative plan that they say will repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it with a plan that would allow Americans to make healthcare choices for themselves.
The Patient Choice, Affordability, Responsibility, and Empowerment (CARE) Act, would have better protection for people with pre-existing conditions, have more options for small businesses to purchase healthcare for employees and ultimately cost less than the options given through the ACA.
The three senators plan to work with their colleagues in Washington and with healthcare experts to perfect the proposal.
Once the plan has been finalized, the goal is to have a bill put together for a vote.
