A chemical odor leads police to a meth lab

Neighbors smell a chemical odor coming from an apartment near 6th and Lewis and call for help.

Tulsa police say they received the call around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and ended up finding a meth lab when they arrived to the scene.

The suspects did try to get rid of the evidence when officers arrived.  Still, police say they found different chemicals in the bathtub and a meth lab near the sink.

TPD took four suspects into custody including: Eric Mitchell, Jeremy Meek, David Westerfield and Jamie Dotson.

Tulsa Hazmat was called out to the scene to clean up the meth lab.

All four suspects are in the Tulsa County Jail.
