A woman was scared out of her wits when she saw a hand and then a head pushing up out of the ground at the graveyard.
"I was terrified to see a man, who I thought was dead, trying to get out of the grave," she said with wide eyes.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the man may have been buried alive not by a funeral home, but by enemies.
Cops in Sao Paulo, Brazil theorize the man was beaten up and then buried there after a fight.
When the distraught woman first called police they discounted her story.
But she was able to convince cemetery workers that she was indeed serious, and they found the half buried man.
Police say the guy is “coming back to life” and will be put through psychological testing in a few days.
