Car stolen with child inside

Tulsa, Okla. — A child and a car are back where they belong following a car theft and an abduction.

Tulsa police say a father had left his car running with his 1-year old son in the back seat while he went inside the Haney's store on 36th Street North near Peoria.

We're told a woman got into the car and drove away, then heard a cough.

That's when she realized that a toddler was in the back seat of the car.

The woman drove back to the store.

She was arrested and the child was returned to his dad.

The father said he could not believe how fast it happened.

It was less than ten minutes from loss to recovery around 3:30 a.m. Monday.
