Canadian cops arrest terrorists thought to be headed for America

The men were arrested in Montreal and Toronto after the FBI and U.S. Department of Homeland Security teamed up with Canadian law enforcement officials.

It’s thought the two were planning to come to the US for what was termed a major terrorist type attack based possibly in New York.

The arrests come just two days after two brothers suspected of the Boston Marathon bombings were captured and one was killed.

Canadian cops say they don’t believe these men were tied to the Boston bombers.

Canadian police say the men had been making their plans for more than a year and were being monitored nearly the entire time.

Agencies involved in watching the group were the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, the FBI, and the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security.
