Bus driver has other things to do, drops kids off at random locations

Police say that 55-year-old Wesner Laventure is charged with child endangerment and recklessly endangering another person after an investigation showed he forced at least 17 children ranging in age from 5-12 off of the bus at locations that weren’t their assigned stops.

Some of the young children cried and even refused to get off at the incorrect stops so Laventure allegedly attempted to force them off of the bus.

Students told police that when they asked why he was dropping them off, he said he “had to go do something.”

Police tell Philadelphia's WPVI-TV that after they received several reports from concerned parents wondering where their children were, they went to the bus depot where the manager told them that they had been unable to contact Laventure.

Eventually police used GPS to track Laventure down.

Cops say that when he was taken into custody, Laventure told them that he saw nothing wrong with what he did.

An investigation into the incident continues.
