Burglar claims a music legend gave her a home

An Owasso woman is busted for burglary back in September.

Yet, she had no idea why.

Rogers County court records show Jennifer Pepper swears Oklahoma legend Garth Brooks gave her the home, which was up for sale.

She could produce no ownership papers and was charged on Thursday with second-degree burglary.

Court records show Pepper arrived to the home and told the owner she wanted to look at the place.  After a little while, Pepper came back outside and told the owner she had just bought the house.

An argument ensued and Pepper eventually left.  Court records show she stole a key to the place without the owner seeing and then took off.

Deputies were called out to the home later the same day.  Court records show Pepper let herself back into the home and this is when she claimed the Oklahoma legend gave her the house.

She was then arrested and taken to jail.
