It’s called the Big King and BK is making a permanent part of the menu as of this week.
The Big Mac knock-off was first introduced last year as a promotional item. Back then it didn’t have the trademark third bun in the middle.
When it hits the menu for good, that bun will be there.
This isn’t the first thing BK has done to be a little more lime Mickey D’s.
A few months back Burger King tweaked their menu with items much more like you had been finding beneath the golden arches.
Offerings like chicken snack wraps, fruit shakes, a rib sandwich, and a long list of coffee drinks are among those.
The King also added chicken “nuggets” to go along with their chicken strips.
The fast food giant did come out with at least one of their own foods by introducing “Satisfries.”
The product is billed as having 30% fewer lower calories than other fries.
Fox News contacted McDonald's to see what Ronald and his troop had to say about all the attention.
A McDonald’s spokeswoman named Lisa McComb sent an email response summing up their feelings pretty succinctly.
"We're focused on our business and our customers."
