The bomber made what police call “a high-grade explosive used in this bomb, it wasn’t garbage stuff.”
While the person responsible knew how to build a bomb, setting a clock seemed to be more of a challenge.
"It would appear that the bomber got his timings wrong. It could be a case where he didn’t put his watch forward on Sunday and the timer went off too soon," one officer told The Daily Mirror.
Cops in Ireland are looking for the man who witnesses say escaped from the area “dripping in blood, in a taxi.”
The confusion may have come because the United Kingdom only switched to daylight saving time on Sunday.
The bomber/victim was hiding the explosive in an SUV owned be a Dublin businessman.
Police say it’s nearly a miracle the man survived what they called a powerful blast.
“If anyone had been in the car or walking near it at the time then they would have been killed,” on noted.
The SUV was totaled by the explosion and windows were blown out in a nearby house.
Cops think the incident could be gang related.
