Broken Arrow man caught stealing a puppy from a yard

A witness spots a dognapper walk into a neighbor's yard, pick up a boxer puppy, and then jump back in his car and drive away.

Broken Arrow police say the incident to have happened Friday night.

Gregory Sonnenberg's car was spotted near Main and Kenosha.

When officers confronted him, Sonnenberg said he had found the puppy in the street.

His claim unraveled though, when officers found the puppies collar tag in the suspect's pocket.

The puppy was returned to the happy owner.

He was taken into custody on a count of larceny of a dog.
