Boy returns home to dog hanging from clothes line

A man confesses to hanging his nephew's dog on a clothes line, resulting in the animal's death.

McAlester police say Thompson Brown was holding a grudge for a past dog bite.

The nephew had to stop his uncle from killing the dog several times before leaving for school last Thursday.  Police say the boy told neighbors to look out for his dog while he was away.

Still, when the boy returned home, his pet was dead.

Police say the boy told officers his uncle liked to play God and he thinks this is why he killed the animal.

The man with a criminal past will be in Pittsburg County court on Friday facing an animal cruelty charge.
