Tulsa, Okla. - For the first time in ten years, the Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway will play host to the Spring Nationals Drag Racing Event this weekend.
Raceway owner Keith Haney says the event has drawn all the best drag racers from around the country.
He says drag racing and NASCAR go hand-in-hand, but he says at the drag racing events, all the fans can get up close to the cars.
"The only difference between NASCAR and drag-racing, you can get within three feet of a racecar and watch them work on it. At NASCAR you have to pay to," Haney said.
He said some drivers will even let kids have a seat in the dragsters.
Haney took over the raceway a couple of years ago and says he started doing more to market and promote the facility, which he says has resulted in getting more events.
