Tulsa, Okla. - Many of you wanted to know why in the world they closed down lanes on the Broken Arrow Expressway Thursday morning, when there was nobody WORKING.
We checked and found out a private painting crew had planned to paint the bridge over Peoria the night before, but it was too windy.
What's still not clear is why the company didn't simply move the barrels in time for Thursday morning rush hour, once they realized it was too windy to paint Wednesday night.
The contract does not allow for painting during peak driving times.
ODOT says they'll work with the contractor to make sure the problem doesn't happen again.
