TULSA - A string of armed robberies targeted a grocery store and several Subway restaurants in southeast Tulsa early Tuesday morning.
The robbers first struck at the Dollar General near 61st and Mingo about 7:20 a.m. according to police.
Police have confirmed that shots were fired at the store; no one was hurt.
Minutes later, a man armed with a handgun walked into a Subway near 61st and Memorial and robbed the store, as well as a customer.
The next location struck was the Subway at 43rd and Mingo, followed in rapid succession by the Subway at 43rd and Memorial.
It's believed there were possibly two men involved.
The man who entered the stores is described as short, perhaps five feet, five or six inches tall, wearing black clothes.
He was described variously by witnesses as white, Asian, or Hispanic.
Another man was seen in a car at the Dollar General, but there was no good description of him.
The car is described as small and white, possibly with a blue stripe on the hood.
