A pedestrian was killed Wednesday night when he apparently walked into the path of a vehicle that was driving on South 193rd East Avenue just south of East 21st Street.
We're told that the victim 51-year old Richard Dorsey may have been involved in an argument inside a nearby house before the accident happened around 10:30 p.m.
Tulsa police, firefighters and EMSA paramedics responded to the scene.
Traffic was diverted from the area while emergency crews performed an investigation.
Dorsey's family members arrived immediately after the crash.
A few minutes after the accident happened, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper who was driving on Highway 169 spotted a car that was parked on the shoulder of the road with its emergency flashers on.
When the Trooper stopped to assist the driver, he was informed that the driver was a Tulsa police chaplain who was en route to the scene of the fatality accident to assist the family, but his car had stalled.
The Trooper transported the chaplain on to the scene of the accident.
