Police say more than $15,000 worth of Native American artwork was stolen in a burglary near 71st and Yale.
The victim placed an advertisement in the paper to sell a Yeibechai Wedding Ceremony tapestry by Navajo weaver Lula Brown.
The asking price was $14,000.
Within 10 days the victim had four potential buyers contact him and come to his home.
Sometime between April 11 and April 14 his house was broken into and the tapestry was stolen, along with two additional pieces of artwork.
One additional framed piece is a signed print by R. C. Gorman and the other is by Merlin Little Thunder, titled "Turning Bear Veteran of the Indian Wars" oil painting from 1987.
