Attorney's for a convicted killer in Missouri are trying to stop his execution that's scheduled for just after midnight tonight.
Forty-six-year-old Russell Bucklew is scheduled to receive a lethal injection at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday for killing a southeast Missouri man during a violent crime spree in 1996.
But Bucklew's attorneys have appealed to a federal court, citing concerns over Missouri's secretive process of buying execution drugs and Bucklew's congenital condition that gives him malformed blood vessels.
