A man told several women including Miss Teen America, 19 year old Cassidy Wolf he wanted nude photos and videos of them.
The man told the women if he didn’t get the pictures he would flood the internet with images he claimed were gathered from computers at their homes.
He went so far as to threaten Wolf by saying “your dream of being a model will be transformed into a pornstar."
Instead of giving in, Wolf went to police and Jared James Abrahams was arrested by FBI agents.
Abrahams will face charges of extortion and possibly others that would send him to federal prison if convicted.
The crime is called "sextortion," and it accuses Abrahams of using software to operate webcams remotely. He was then able to enable the cameras on the computers and capture nude photos and videos of the women when they were undressed or were changing clothes.
At least seven young women were said to be targeted.
Reports say Abrahams knew some of the women and used Facebook to find the others.
The acts happened earlier this year but the arrest was just made this week.
