Another patient tests positive for hepatitis C

The seventh round of testing results for patients of W. Scott Harrington has been released.

Tulsa Health Department says another patient of the dentist has tested positive for hepatitis C.

This brings the total up to 71 patients testing positive for hepatitis C, three for HIV, and five for hepatitis B.

"Those persons whose tests are positive are being personally contacted and counseled about information specific to the disease for which the test was positive," Tulsa Health Department says.  "They will be directed to resources for appropriate care and follow up."

So far, 3,908 former patients have been tested by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
