Amber Alert suspect charged with murder of child

We have new information regarding a recent Amber Alert out of Norman where a boy was discovered dead.

An Oklahoma City newspaper reports 31-year-old Victor Minjarez was charged yesterday with first-degree murder, desecrating a human corpse, and second-degree burglary.

Jody Minjarez, died from blunt force trauma to the head according to the ME's office. Sadly the boy had reportedly already been dead a week before the alert.

The suspect admitted to police he took his son after he got into a physical fight with the child's mother.
