Airsoft gun gets mistaken for real handgun

Police receive a call Saturday morning saying a teenager has fired a gun at them.

Tulsa police say the victims called around 9:45 a.m., at McClure Park near 7th and Memorial.

A group of people were playing Frisbee Golf at the park, when the 14-year-old was said to have approached them.  Police say they were told the suspect fired multiple shots at them.

It turned out, he was wasn't using a real gun.

Instead, police say the suspect fired an airsoft gun.  Nobody was struck by the shots.

Police say the teen did try to flee the scene, but was tracked down quickly and taken into custody.

His name wasn't released due to his age.
