The accident occurred as wing walker Jane Wicker and her pilot Charlie Schwenker were performing an upside down stunt close to the ground.
The 450 HP Stearman bi-plane suddenly dipped and the wing that Wicker was sitting on plowed in to the ground and the plane followed in a burst of flames and debris.
Wicker had tweeted about how excited she was to be in Dayton for the show before the accident occurred.
