TPD: Police impersonator mails evidence to Mingo Valley Division

Tulsa, Okla. — A convicted felon is accused of impersonating a police officer and running a con game. Tulsa police are familiar with Barry Lloyd Baker Junior. “Mainly he is known for trying to impersonate police officers,” says TPD. We're told Baker had a friend pawn his iPhones at an ATM last month near 71st and Memorial, then claimed his phone had been stolen from his TPD squad car. Baker is accused of giving his address as the Tulsa Police Mingo Valley Division. The phone company mailed a phone to that address, providing investigators with the evidence they needed to prosecute Baker. He was on probation for other crimes.
