Accident narrows Highway 412 to one lane at Keystone Lake

A portion of U.S. Highway 412 was closed Saturday when a tractor-trailer rig crashed at Keystone Lake.

The eastbound rig was hauling crude oil when it  overturned.

We understand some of the oil may have spilled into Keystone Lake.

It wasn’t immediately clear how much oil had spilled.

A helicopter was summoned to the scene to fly the injured driver of the truck to the hospital.

There were no other injuries.  The accident happened around 9:45 Saturday morning.

Motorists were being encouraged to use an alternate route until clean up was complete.
