The Supreme Court will be looking at California’s ban on same-sex marriage on Tuesday and there will be a huge crowd watching.
Podrasky has high hopes.
“I am so excited” she told the Los Angeles Times. “I feel quite honored and overwhelmed.”
She scored seats in the chamber with an email to Robert's sister and then a follow up with his secretary.
Podrasky said she doesn’t see the Chief Justice often, mostly at family gatherings but she admits that he knows she’s gay.
She hopes to introduce him to her partner at some point during the hearings.
She thinks Roberts will keep an open mind “he is a smart man,” she began.
“He is a good man. I believe he sees where the tide is going. I do trust him. I absolutely trust that he will go in a good direction.”
Podrasky believes there are too many people touched by the issue today for it to go away. She told the Times “everybody knows somebody” who is gay.
