Co-workers were having an after work beer or three when they decided to pool their funds and buy more.
That was fine until the group got back with the beer and one man didn’t get any change.
That man was Gumaro Torres.
He stayed around and downed a couple more and then went to his home, got a gun, and went back to the other house drawing a few snickers from his friends.
That was the wrong reaction and Torres opened fire on the group.
Prosecutors told the Chicago Tribune "he was angry that when he returned the victims laughed at him, he immediately began to fire his gun at Jose De LaFuente."
Torres killed LaFuente with a shot to the stomach and another man who tried to stop Torres was wounded and remains in intensive care.
CBS Chicago reported a third man was able to get Torres under control but he took a beating in the process.
Chicago cops have charged Torres with three felonies, including first-degree murder.
