Bartlesville PSO customers affected by Monday night storm

Eighty miles per hour winds leave numerous PSO customers without power in the Bartlesville area after storms move through the area late Monday.

Severe thunderstorms made their way across the border from Kansas, bringing heavy rain to the area.

PSO's Stan Whiteford tells us, "At around nine to nine-thirty is about when we started getting the first of the outages and by about two o'clock this morning it peaked at about 10,000 outages in that area."

We're told that about 800 PSO customers in a highly-concentrated area of damage in the Bartlesville area will not have their power restored by Tuesday night.

Whiteford says the North Sunset Boulevard section of Bartlesville was where about 33 PSO transmission structures were affected by the storm.
