Herbert and Catherine Schaible lost a two year old son named Kent in 2009 when they decided to pray over him rather than seek medical treatment.
Kent died of bacterial pneumonia and his parents were both convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
Part of the couple’s probation at the time was a requirement they get medical attention for any other children they ever have that became sick.
Fast forward to last week when the Schaibles’ eight month old was sick with diarrhea and breathing trouble.
Once again the couple chose to pray over the sick child and the infant died.
This week a judge in Philadelphia said the parents “grossly and disastrously, knowingly, intentionally, hypocritically, and callously" violated the terms of their probation.
Police are waiting for autopsy reports before they file charges. If convicted the Schaible’s could face a prison sentence of ten years.
The couple also has seven other children and all were taken from the home.
