The survey comes from a CoreBrand, a research firm specializing in branding and the impact it has on business.
The study is more about how other business people see the brand of a company rather than public perception.
In this case CoreBrands said the biggest takeaway was the huge numbers of people who know who Delta is combined with the small number who see them favorably.
The research measures reputation, management, and the viability of a company as an investment.
Following Delta on the unfavorable list are:
Philip Morris H&R Block Denny's Big Lots
On the other end of the spectrum are the five firms with the best perceptions led by two soft drink brands, PepsiCo and Coca-Cola.
Following on the upper end of the list are:
Hershey's Harley-Davidson Bayer Johnson & Johnson
