"With the upcoming Mayoral race on June 11th, we couldn't think of a better time to hold the registration drive. We love Tulsa and want to see great things in our future. Being involved in the electoral process is a great way to make sure that happens," said Board of Directors Chairmen Mark Secrist.

The lodge will have events for the kids and adults alike. Mayor Dewey Bartlett and Councilor Bill Christiansen will be making an appearance and each one including Mayor Kathy Taylor will have booths set-up with information about their campaigns to be the next Mayor of Tulsa. “This will be a great opportunity for the public to learn while having fun about the candidates running to be our next Mayor. The FOP is excited we can offer this opportunity to the public,” said Public Relations/ Political Liaison Jessica Caswell.

For the kids, the FOP will have a giant bouncy house, cotton candy, and a game truck. We will be giving out hot dogs, goodie bags, and the pink EMSA vehicle will be on-sight. “It is going to be so much fun! We encourage everyone to attend, bring their families, and register to vote. I know I will be bringing my family,” said Ballenger.

About Tulsa FOP - The most important function of officers is to work with and within their cities to improve crime fighting. The Tulsa FOP helps the professional officers have input into the long-term crime fighting needs of their community in the face of normal political turn over.

The FOP also has a second general function that includes trying to make certain that the political winds do not let the salaries, benefits, and basic working conditions of the police officers fall too far away from a reasonable level.
