This spring, Tulsa Ballet presents A Ballets Russes Evening, honoring Tulsa Ballet's founders, Roman Jasinski and Moscelyne Larkin. There will be three performances: Apollo, Rite of Spring and Le Spectre de la Rose. In Apollo, the god of music is visited by the muse of dance and song, the muse of mime, and the muse of poetry. In Le Spectre de la Rose, an excited young girl returns from her first ball and dreams that the rose she holds is dancing with her. When the rose disappears, she awakens, still under the spell of her dream.
