Celebrate the last concert of the season with a brilliant and exploding opening display of Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks, which was originally composed to accompany the fireworks of London’s Green Park in 1749. TSO’s principal trumpet Timothy McFadden perform one of the most beloved works in the trumpet repertoire, Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto in E flat major. Composed by Hungarian composer/pianist Bela Bartok, the Concerto for Orchestra is one of Bartok’s most popular and widely accessible works and an exhiting and exhilarating finale for this concert and the Tulsa Symphony’s 2011-2012 wseason.
