Expect cello and vibraphone solos, four voices in harmony, words about Communist Architecture, and mourning songs. Bios: POINT REYES (Asa Horvitz, Kyle Farrell, Jack Randall, Bryan West) was founded in Brooklyn, NY, in 2010. We write music at the intersection of contemporary classical and popular music. We have toured the United States and Europe with members of Dirty Projectors and the Tetra String Quartet. As individuals the members of POINT REYES have performed with Anthony Braxton, the Giants of Gender, UCLA Chamber Singers, and the Wesleyan Collegium Musicum, at US venues ranging from the Cleveland Museum of Art to the Tulsa New Genre Festival and The Tanglewood Festival, and in international venues ranging from the Shanghai and Beijing Concert Halls to theaters and art spaces in Tunisia, France, Germany, Italy, and Poland. POINT REYES releases recordings on Cakes and Tapes Records (Portugal). Nini Julia Bang is a singer, actress and musician. She works with Wroclaw, Polands Teatr ZAR, collaborates with the American music group POINT REYES, and and independently composes her own music. Before joining Teatr ZAR in 2006, Nini studied western classical singing, piano, folk music and music theory in Denmark. Afterwards, she went to India to continue her training and research within the field of theater, voice and music. She has performed the triptych at many of the premiere venues in the world, including the Barbican Centre and UCLA Live In addition to this she frequently leads workshops with Teatr ZAR.
